A screeching garage door under a bedroom is misery. Most noise comes from four places — and three of them are cheap fixes.
Vibration loosens hinge and track hardware. Snug (don't over-torque) all 3/8" and 1/2" lag bolts and nuts.
Use a lithium or silicone garage door spray on hinges, rollers, springs, bearing plates and the opener rail. Never use WD-40 — it's a solvent and strips existing lubricant. Never grease the track itself.
